About

The style of Chong Shin Kwon (True Spirit School) was developed by Hanshi Roger Jarrett, with a strong influence by both the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do and the Japanese art of Karate Do. Our goal is a development and understanding of both arts. The art of Kobudo (Japanese weaponry) is intertwined within this Martial Arts program.

The Weston Dojo is under the direct instruction of Shihan William King and his senior instructor and student Marcus Strader.

Marcus Strader, Assistant instructor to Shihan King.

To learn and retain the skills of the Martial Arts:
  • Classes must be attended on a regular basis.
  • Self control and discipline must be displayed.
  • Student must practice their techniques at home.
  • Private lessons available when additional help is needed.
Self Control and Discipline

At USA Martial Arts, we believe that the self control and discipline we teach should be seen in other parts of the student’s life. In order to be considered for rank advancement, a student’s attitude and adherence to our martial arts principles both inside and outside of class is taken into consideration.

All students in the Tae Kwon Do / Karate program are encouraged to participate in our other classes such as Aikido, Judo/Jujitsu and Iaido programs as offered by our training centers. Our Weston dojo encourages Iaido and Aikido training on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00. Rank test fees vary and cover the student’s new belt, certificate of promotion, and other test expenses. Our information sheet entitled EXAMINATIONS provides more details about testing and is found in your manual and is hung on the Dojo wall. Yearly association dues are required for the Chong Shin Tae Kwon Do / Karate Association as part of the USA Martial Arts Federation. Part of these years dues are returned to support your local dojo.
